Newt Notes - On Massachusetts Health Care

The most exciting development of the past few weeks is what has been happening up in Massachusetts. The health bill that Governor Romney signed into law this month has tremendous potential to effect major change in the American health system.

We agree entirely with Governor Romney and Massachusetts legislators that our goal should be 100% insurance coverage for all Americans. Individuals without coverage often do not receive quality medical attention on par with those who do have insurance. We also believe strongly that personal responsibility is vital to creating a 21st Century Intelligent Health System. Individuals who can afford to purchase health insurance and simply choose not to place an unnecessary burden on a system that is on the verge of collapse; these free-riders undermine the entire health system by placing the onus of responsibility on taxpayers.

The Romney plan attempts to bring everyone into the system. The individual mandate requires those who earn enough to afford insurance to purchase coverage, and subsidies will be made available to those individuals who cannot afford insurance on their own. We agree strongly with this principle, but the details are crucial when it comes to the structure of this plan. Under the new bill, Massachusetts residents earning more than 300% of the federal poverty level (approximately $30,000 for an individual) will not be eligible for any subsidies. State House officials had originally promised that there would be new plans available at about $200 a month, but industry experts are now predicting that the cheapest plan will likely cost at least $325 a month. This estimate totals about $4000 per year, or about 1/5 of a $30,000 annual take-home income.

While in theory the plan should be affordable if the whole state contributes to the cost, the reality is that Massachusetts has an exhaustive list of health coverage regulations prohibiting insurers from offering more basic, pared-down policies with higher deductibles. (This is yet another reminder that America must establish a cross-state insurance market that gives individuals the freedom to shop for insurance plans in states other than their own.)

In our estimation, Massachusetts residents earning little more than $30,000 a year are in jeopardy of being priced out of the system. In the event that this occurs, Governor Romney will be in grave danger of repeating the mistakes of his predecessor, Mike Dukakis, whose 1988 health plan was hailed as a save-all but eventually collapsed when poorly-devised payment structures created a malaise of unfulfilled promises. We propose that a more realistic approach might be to limit the mandate to those individuals earning upwards of $54,000 per year.

Is the Syria's Regime Doomed? What is Next?

We saw the events of the Arab Spring.

We saw differing outcomes for each front, but all the targets were Muslim states.

First triggered event was a hybrid of the color revolutions Iranian Green) and twitter/facebook revolutions, targeting Iran.

It seemed to catch the Obama administration by surprise, and did not capitalize on the events? It is hard to tell.

Humanitarian military intervention is only an oxymoron, only to those who do not agree with the operatives.

One persons welcomed military assistance as humanitarian, is that of a war crime against a legitimate government by the another.

Now we come to Syria with reports of more than five thousand killed, there is pressure and a sense of inevitability that the days of President Bashar al-Assad's regime are numbered.

Unfortunately we see a reluctance of the USA or NATO to make a move to expedite the inevitable?

Russia, having missed the opportunity to come along-side the Libyan regime, they have made quite a different response to al-Assad.

What in the world can the USA or NATO do, now that the Russians are in town? Our hands tied?

When Putin returned to St. Petersburg, he took a job for a year and a half as assistant to the rector of the university, dealing with "international relations." However, that was partly a cover story. He was still working for the KGB, recruiting or spying on students. Putin acknowledged recently that he was "a KGB officer under the roof, as we say," noting that the rector knew about it. Did he have a role in the establishment of right wing political groups?

KGB Initiated Fascism?

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, head of the so-called Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, which is actually nationalist in its stance, is using the "Russia for Russians" slogan to drum up support for an end to the billions in subsidies to the Caucasus. Zhirinovsky, who also serves as vice chairman of the State Duma, distributed 12 million copies of a brochure in which he castigates the supposedly anti-Russian stance of the current government, which "takes money from the pocket of the working Ivan and gives it to the bandit Mohammed, who cuts Ivan up in pieces and buys himself a third Mercedes."

The country's public prosecutors, usually eager to prosecute Kremlin detractors on charges of "extremism," have left Zhirinovsky alone since he and his party, founded by the KGB in the 1990s, are actually working for the benefit of the Kremlin. The idea is that the experienced populist will collect the right-wing protest vote, then, once back in office, he will continue to vote obediently in favor of the Kremlin's bills, as he has for the past two decades.

It's a dangerous game. If the seed sowed by the extreme right-wing bears fruit, Russia -- as a multi-ethnic state with over 15 million Muslims and more than 100 different ethnic groups -- is in danger of eroding. At the same time, the country's economy has come to depend on cheap labor provided by migrant workers as its own population shrinks.

Gennady Zyuganov, leader of Russia's Communist Party, is similarly making a name for himself as the "national liberation struggle flares up." His plan to reinstate ethnic affiliations in Russian passports has the support of 48 percent of the population. The Soviets, too, used this "nationality" category to facilitate their discrimination against Jews, Chechens and ethnic Germans in Russia.

Poor Election Showing Weakens Putin

Russia's voters clearly punished Putin on Sunday, with his United Russia party only receiving half of the votes. With 95 percent of the votes counted, results gave Putin's party 49.7 percent, about 15 percent less than in the last Duma election in 2007. The party has lost its previous two-thirds majority in parliament. The results show how United Russia has lost support among the population. In 2007, it won almost 45 million votes. That figure has now dropped by around 12 million.

The Communists won 19.1 percent of the vote, Vladimir Zhirinovsky's nationalist Liberal Democratic Party of Russia got 11.7 percent and the center-left A Just Russia won 13.2 percent. The only truly democratic party, the liberal Yabloko, won 3.2 percent of the vote, missing the 7 percent hurdle needed to win seats in the Duma by a considerable margin.

United Russia, which has dominated the Duma since 2003, is expected to retain a clear majority in the chamber though the two-thirds that allow it to pass constitutional changes without opposition support may prove out of reach.Many voters say they expect the party's result to be boosted by vote rigging and favourable coverage by traditional media. A liberal party led by former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and two allies is barred from even taking part.

Here are some of my observations, please comment on yours.

The paper reviews what it believes are the causes of the recent global financial issues, but they are only the effects, not the causes of the financial implosion.

In addition to the financial difficulties, the Vatican seems to couch these difficulties in with social justice issues; individual, regional, and national, of the economic divide.

The paper speaks out against liberal open-ended entrepreneurship, and believes in control and regulation related to growth and profit, with a redistributive solution.

The paper poses that social economic justice issues are a product of sheer disregard by those 'that have' against those that 'have not'. It does so without regard to the regional and national governance that these people are subjugated with, like dictators, warlords, excessive government taxation and regulation.

There is a call for 'a true world political Authority' that has global reach. (Note the capitalization of the 'A' in Authority)

The call for a 'world political Authority' has added to its political governance, a roll of social justice and morality which interestingly has been elements attributed to that of the church.

Calling for a global political Authority the Vatican understands the potential abuse when power is centralized in one office and suggests it should have a subsidiary nature to regional and local authorities. However it does not define a controlling mechanism for a rogue Authority; should the adage 'absolute power, corrupts absolutely' should again become evident?

This call for an 'Authority' also does not answer how a dysfunctional UN could possibly implement this office or protect it from the will of the wealthy and powerful.

The Vatican calls for a Bretton Woods type agreement, but this time grounded in responsibility? What again would be the control or governance of those that have the gold?

The first suggestion for financial governance is that of implementing a tax on financial transactions.

Second recapitalization of banks based on “virtuous” behaviours aimed at developing the “real economy”? Bankers with virtue and just what is the definition of 'real economy'?

Shadow markets as was the culture of the Soviet Union, has not been adequately addressed though briefly mentioned the need for control.

The conclusion of this is a call for a brave new world, painted with broad brush strokes of vivid color, but it appears the details are to be left do someone's forward looking imagery?

‘The American Dream’ must die.

The consumption must end.

Eaters must work or starve.

America cannot any longer be an exception.

Poverty will be the average standard of living.

Education retractions established and reinforced.

Racial tensions and segregation will necessarily raise.

Unemployment must raise above 25% and stabilize there.

Food and lodging scarcity must be in final goal of reduction.

Income stagnation to below the inflation rate a necessary development.

Personal financial mobility will always migrate to the lowest common denominator.

Transport, the social mobility must end, that of unbridled local, state and international travel.

Population to be controlled at zero growth via controls and mechanisms targeted at all age levels.

Temporary worry, anxiety and depression are common conditions of reduction and must be augmented with cheap liquor or drugs.

What is new about New Age?

The nuance is the acceptance of all, with the only exclusion, that being the monotheistic Abrahamic Faiths.

Beyond the core foundation of eastern religions, there are many new areas of tolerance.

Acceptance of all native community religious, shamanistic tradition and superstition.

Pagan traditions or any belief system that is multi-theistic, Humanism, Wicca, Satanism etc.

Any spiritualistic expression that is faith centric or extra religious expression that views all spirituality to be something enlightening or good.

Acceptance of any occult, atheistic, agnostic, that establishes itself as above the knowledge of a God.

Acceptance of any religious tradition that is not monotheistic.

Acceptance of any religion that rejects the patriarchal God of the Jew and Christian.

Acceptance of any religious tradition that is not exclusionary in theology.

Any earth science or eco-theology, companies dedicated to climate change whether scientifically truthful or not, whether they have a faith position or not.

Any holistic health food and supplement company or advancing health solutions, scientifically truthful or not, whether they have a faith position or not.

Any therapeutic organization using acupuncture, massage therapies, healing rooms, Reiki healing and others offering alternative healing solutions whether or not medically proven.

Any Humanistic, self help, self-centric, positive thinking, self actuation, co-creative, imagination creates reality, all that we need for life is contained within us.

New Age networks carefully extends tentative tolerance of mainstream religious churches or institutions, on individual basis, that incorporates any of the above 'in-network' disciplines.

An example of these but not excluding others, prayer labyrinths, Reiki healing rooms, massage or acupuncture, self-centric science adaptations.

A Question of Christian Faith?

In a recent PEW, report of all Christians, 80% believe there is more than one path to eternal life.

This means only 20% believe that Jesus is the only way?

Political Correctness and Ecumenism, and has done the job, extremely well one might add.

So here we see the Christian faith fall in line with the Luciferian Plan of compromise and acceptance.

New Age In the Church

The 'Chriatian Community' has adapted the terminology used by the New Age.

Today the Neo-Apostolic and Neo-Prophetic are the largest users of the New Age terminology.

Whether they are being nuanced with trendy language or actually are already part of the 'network' will be determined by your further inspection.

In any case they speak of New Revelation, the people as New Wineskins, for a New Anointing, A New Covenant for a New Apostolic Age!

Paradigm Shift

A 'new thing' a new revelation or view on belief, new thought defined as new constant or reality.

Most religious that use this terminology, in the support of the new postulate or theorem theology is by arbitrary pronouncement or 'prophetic' utterance

In NA Christendom unlike the science counter-part there is no settled theology or validated revelation to support the shift.

In this present age, unlike in times past, confirmation was searched for in 'settled' prophetic scripture, and biblical doctrine.

Co-Creator

Adjoined with Christ, in the doctrinal sense provides the capacity to co-create with God, again without any biblical basis.

Speakers in conventions have characterized this as finite and distinct powers given to us by God, whereby we can create our own reality, by the use of our gift of imagination.

In the New Age sense, since all is God corporately we have the ability to create our own reality by visualization, imagination etc.

To the extreme, we can effect change even in the expanse of the Cosmos.

New Age 'Self' Sciences

Incorporated their sermons, conferences, web blogs, Face Book wall doctrine and twit-theology tweets.

All that one has to do is to be open to the discernment of the Holy Spirit to see all the 'feel-good', self-centered messages.

What will be missing is messages of the cross, repentance and that of a changed life in Christ, instead we see:

Self-Centered sciences has turned to national elitism, and personal egotism, and narcissism.

These self sciences have been taught in public schools replacing the teaching of God and good discipline.

These same creeds have found their way into the church, after all, shouldn't we feel good about ourselves?

What is new about these philosophies, is that it has 'turned on its head' the abasement and denial of 'self' generally posed by Christianity and even Eastern Religions and as a whole.

There is an ever growing group of business and self help coaching and mentor groups.

They attach the name 'Christian' to their 'about us' page, then delve completely into the New Age sciences of self.

You do not have to look far to see one or multiple of these mentioned in a sermon.

Many mega churches are touchy feel-good, with positive messages of God's love for you.

The promotion and validations of how good we are in Christ.

How much God wants to bless us with fortune and destiny provided we just sow or first fruits into the ministry.

Social justice has replaced the message of salvation for the poor and deprived of spirit.

Self help seminars are held for everything from maximizing your sex life to that of improving your health through holistic eastern medicine.

Third Eye Terminology

This 'third eye' originated in the Eastern religions of Hindu and Buddhist traditions. To activate the 'third eye' is to raise one's frequency and moving into higher consciousness - all is a consciousness experience perceived through the Eye of Time or Third Eye. Meditation, Visualization Yoga, and all forms of Out of Body travel, open the Third Eye and allow you to 'see' beyond the physical.

The Latter Day Rain (MSOG) has taken this concept of seeing beyond the physical but call it a 6th sense applying their own definition of 'faith'.

This of course for those that read the word for themselves can see that the nuance of 'faith' is error when applying the word of God.

Yoga

The exercise regime of choice in many church groups is intrinsically and inseparable from eastern religion.

The exercises with the meditative postures and centering open a person to the divine self, spirit world, demonic or otherwise.

Yet today, just google yoga along with any Christian tradition and you will see the invasive encroachment it has made on the church.

There is no sanitized yoga exercise that is not connected to the Hindu religion.

'Tapping Into'

Meditation, Centering Prayer, and Contemplative Prayer

The bible clearly instructs the Christian the proper use and focus for meditation to that of the scriptures.

The bible expresses that we are not to use words or prayers in the form of vain repetitions.

Today many church traditions are now conducting prayer walks, prayer labyrinth walking, meditative centering or contemplative prayer.

They are tapping into literally the spirit world using eastern mysticism.

This like yoga exposes one's self to the spirit world and the demonic. I am sure this is not what they were looking for.

Many look back to that of the Desert Fathers, who used these practices, to the same negative effect.

Though the Catholic Church speaks out reservedly against these practices, these spiritualist forms are practiced by monks and nuns in convents and monasteries.

I contend that emptying ones thoughts and self in meditation accomplishes the same thing as chanting a prayer, mantra, staring at an iconic image or any mind-numbing exercise.

Ascended Master

This concept has been around since the fall of man, when the sons of God came into the daughters of men and begat giants, people of great renown.

These giants or super humans prior to the flood and even a short time after the flood were viewed by humanity to be that of gods.

Their disappearance from off the earth did not debase the concept of these gods but made it more probable, the ascending of the gods, as they were gods to these people in every sense.

The invoking of these gods were readily answered by the spirit world and gladly fulfilled the expectations of the mortal.

Even at the time of Christ, the Censers and world kings demanded and received the same reverence as the ancient gods.

Irenaeus written in the preface to Book V of Adversus Haereses, he characterizes this same premise, slightly differently.

"Christ, who did, through His transcendent love, become what we are, that He might bring us to be even what He is Himself”

Where have we heard this in modern times?

Additionally, the Latter Day Rain (MSOG) try to make a strong case from the bible that there will be a manifestation of the Sons of God, as ascended men of God capable of angelic/demonic warfare. This interpreted as man that will reach a place in their spiritual walk with God that God or his divineness will step-up (Show-Up) within them and cause them to transcend the earthly realm and receive a glorified body. They profess that there will be a set-aside group that will come into the full stature of the resurrected Christ with the mandate to fulfill Joel 2 & 3, though their biblical foundation for this eschatology is slim to nonexistent.

Barbara Marx Hubbard (1929-), a current leader of New Age philosophy, wrote in her The Book of Co-Creation (1980), she explains: Out of the full spectrum of human personality, one-fourth is electing to transcend . . . One-fourth is resistant to election. They are unattracted by life ever-evolving . . . . Now, as we approach the quantum shift from creature-human to co-creative human . . . the destructive one-fourth must be eliminated from the social body . . . . Fortunately you, dearly beloveds, are not responsible for this act. We are. We are in charge of God's selection process for planet Earth. He selects, we destroy. We are the riders of the pale horse, Death.

Additionally you will hear or read terminology of the New Age, Christianized to the point where even the faithful to Jesus Christ are using these words unaware they are mimicking New Age.

Are you With Us Or Against Us?

We saw the events of 9-11. Many as was I was shocked, like being slapped in the face, again and again.

We saw the media feeding us the details of these events with equal disbelief.

Quickly we saw the connecting of dots with many pertinent facts rolling off the programs of the TV.

Articles are presented about the flight training. European connections and apartments, finance streams, the prior practice flight runs. Atta appears in the airport security camera.

Atta's fireproof and crash resistant passport found in the street below the twin towers. We learned with all the flurry of intelligence released, that Osama was responsible, and exactly where he was located.

The media was so well prompted with the answers the world needed. Even the British media Jane Standley , announces that the Solomon building, WTC #7 does collapse, before it actually did collapse.

Impetus for war.

Off to Tora Bora we march, and of course there is the WMD in Iraq and the new Axis of Evil.

Wars' cry was being extended Iran as next, but proved to be too adventurous a plan.

The Color Revolutions gave way to the Twitter Revolutions.

Twitter, FaceBook and Social media revolutions were in sighting rebellions and up rise throughout the whole Arab world.

It started with the Iranian people asking President Obama, are you with us or against us. Apparently he did not know how to answer.

It is almost like these Twitter Wars were designed to be overseen by a different regime in the USA, a not-so-little glitch in the plan.

It seemed that no one gave the Nobel Peace Prize winner the play book.

It started to look like no totalitarian Arab dictatorship could stand.

The flash of revolution seemed inevitable. The march for democracy could not be halted.

Interestingly in the West, many are unaware that democracy must replace the republic to truly socialize society.

The USA political right wanted to reverse the influence that the prior CCCP had on the Arab community and bring democracy and freedom to the Arab community.

It appeared that the intent of these wars and revolutions was to spread freedom and democracy throughout the Arab world. 'Bush Doctrine'

It appears that the present USA administration does not have a plan or clue as to how to influence and guide these revolutions for the betterment of the world.

They appear lost, as does these liberated state groups, looking for a place of strength and governance where there is none.

The most recent Libyan conflict finds the USA, not even 10 years hence the 9-11 event, aligning or placing our support behind rebel groups which include Al Qaeda elements.

So we had the Arab dictators, pleading the case to the West that it was 'them or an Islamic Fundamentalist Caliphate'.

With the indecisiveness of the West, the leaderless revolts will have either a return to despotism or worse fall into civil war and unrest.

True Islam, what is it? Where does it exist? Is it compatible with governance outside of the Mosque?

In the West we look at a concept called separation of church and state.

Yet we see moderate Muslims in the EU and in the USA demanding Sharia Law for their justice within the sovereign justice of the states in which they live.

What the West may finally be coming to understand, is that there is no such sentiment amongst the Muslim communities as 'Separation of Mosque and State'

Will the freed states become to enjoy an Islamic Republic, on the order of Iran? Maybe the Taliban?

All the balls appear to be in the air. The winds of change are blowing. The fires of Vendetta are burning.

All the earth groans for a Messiah, may they so they think?

Corpurile noastre au aceleasi componente de "constiinta"?

Pământul nostru este o iluzie şi gol, şi au, de asemenea, aceleaşi elemente ale acestui "constiinta"?

Sistemul solar comunitatea noastră universal respiraţii acest "constiinta", dar este, dar vapori, nule şi pură iluzie?

Reverence for God

There is a baseline that is written throughout the Bible: 'The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom'. Upon this foundation you experience his love for you as His child, even during His discipline.

Such a foundation provides the confidence and security for life, as you walk out your occupation. It gives the assurance that you have His unmerited mercy and grace working in your daily life.

Your gifting, abilities, and creative insights are enhanced in proportion to the closeness of your fellowship with your Creator. Are your creative juices dried up? This may indicate that you are walking nowhere close to the Creator

Your life character and conduct are a function of living your life with His word written upon your heart. By following the two commandments; 'to love the Lord thy God' and to 'love your neighbor as yourself', you will find yourself in an enviable place of peace.

Always seek mentors and business partners that have the same moral and ethical code as yours and that live healthy lifestyles. Those that do not have the proper 'Fear of the Lord' must be held at a distance and not be allowed to adversely influence your business.

The satisfaction received from your approving Father feeds your emotional, spiritual and mental health needs throughout your life, as you walk and talk with Him. 'The Joy of the Lord is Your Strength' and this can be found in building and edifying yourself in the Holy Spirit at every possible moment, having the songs of the Lord on your lips. This will negate negativity that often can derail your train.

Learn to only enjoy what the Lord is building in your life. Do not be easily subverted with pride and self righteousness which is often promoted in the world as self-confidence, self-respect, and self-love. The end to all this self-centered attention is selfish egocentrism at its best and narcissism at its worst . Be ready to share the reason for the hope that lies within you, when you have opportunity.

Your efforts to walkout your dreams, goals, and aspirations (while not becoming conflicted in decision making), can only be as effective and successful as your daily personal communion with your Father God is maintained.

Respect for Fellowman

Your respect for others' opinions and, having regard for their rights, values, beliefs and property will be a direct reflection of your fulfillment of the commandment 'to love your neighbor as yourself'.

You must treat even your most competitive business associate with due respect even though you are rivals. By having a proper respectful relationship with others, you instill in them a confidence and comfort when they need to approach you.

Though others differ in spiritual development, you must look for and encourage the attributes of individuals that can be attributed to that of your Father and Creator.

The free flow of ideas and communication with your workers and peers should be a mirrored image of how Father God communicates and talks with you. Alternative view points and life-lessons-learned, can enhance and expand your growing business. Respecting your peers will promote new ideas, diverse ideas, and innovation that you can then bring to bear on your business challenges. Providing a safe and respectful environment for others' opinions, talents and abilities makes you a better boss, mentor, and in all your other of life's roles.

In the same manner as Father God commends and encourages, you likewise need to also follow that example by showing others approval and praise.

If your responsibility includes dispensing discipline, be conscience of how you would like others to approach you in the same situation. Do likewise with the proper love and care for your peers and/or workers.

Taking Responsibility for our Actions

There is no better way to gain the credibility of your peers, customers, workers, neighbors and family members than by accepting complete responsibility for your actions, especially those that were incorrectly acted upon. By showing a character that portrays accountability, you will encourage others to do the same and feel like they are safe to do so.

The darkest days of disappointment and failure is where your character is further positively developed. It is your most powerful learning tool, as most likely you will not make a similar mistake again. If you deflect responsibility you will continue through life making poor decisions and reacting to the consequences incorrectly.

If you are a decision maker that can adapt an idea, thought or design of another person BUT it fails, you must take all responsibility for the failure and not place it at anyone's doorstep but that of your own. If the responsibility of a choice is yours to set, then the only blame-game that can exist is that of blaming yourself. Be ready to make the offer to open your wallet to pay for your mistakes. Taking responsibility for the bad decisions in your life can be one of the most painful experiences to face. Once your course is corrected, and payment is made, then growth in proper relationship to others will transpire.

You will grow in wisdom and knowledge, making better and better choices as you learn from the pain of the past. So take responsibility for others' bad ideas that you choose to adapt, and give credit to the originating source for the good ideas.
